Winston, started today having turned the ball over 11 times in 14 quarters of prior gameplay, today would not be a continuation as he completed 29 of 38 passes without an interception.

Since returning to play this season and sharing the starting job with Fitzpatrick together they have played good enough to lead the NFL in total passing yards and total offense, however combined with the league's worst giveaway/takeaway ratio it undermined several Buccaneers winning opportunities.

"OFFENSE!" Protecting Winston Against the 49ers!

Winston led touchdown drives of 85, 75 and 73 yards. His 6-yard scoring pass to Brate put the Buccaneers up early, and later connected with Humphries on a 28-yard touchdown as Winston scrambled to his right then throwing back toward the center of the field, a play that often resulted in a turnover for Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bays defense had four sacks and forced turnovers for the first time in eight games, with Smith and Johnson coming up with the Buccaneers first interceptions since the loss against the Steelers. The midseason acquisition of Cairo Santos is paying off with two field goals and three extra points.
