Peanut Butter/Brittle Cannonballs
Substitute almond or nut butter for those with peanut butter allergies.
In a large bowl, add peanut butter, melted butter, vanilla, salt and powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixture until everything is combined.
Roll in peanut brittle
Use a 1-ounce cookie scoop (or about two tablespoons) to portion out the peanut butter/brittle mixture. Roll the 1-ounce portions into smooth balls and place onto a baking sheet.
Refrigerate the peanut butter balls for at least 30 minutes.
Combine coconut oil and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between, until the mixture is melted.
Stick a toothpick or a skewer into a peanut butter ball and dip it into the chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off and then put it onto a wax paper-lined baking sheet.
Repeat until all the cannonballs are coated. Chill in the fridge for at least 45 minutes before serving.

The Buccaneers are named after the pirates who frequented Florida's Gulf coast in the 17th century.

A Buccaneers Pirate’s Opening Day Emergency
The cannons are nearly loaded, the flags are ready to fly, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preparing to open the 2026 NFL regular season against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium on Sunday, September 13, at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
There is only one problem aboard my ship: this pirate has not made the supply raid!
No burgers. No wings. No pirate dip. No chips, ice, or game-day provisions and, most troubling of all, not a single bottle of rum in the captain’s quarters! How did this happen? I spent the entire offseason studying the roster, examining the schedule, polishing the lucky Buccaneers gear, and telling every Bengals fan within shouting distance that a storm was coming. Somehow, I forgot the most important duty of any responsible football pirate: stocking the tailgate.
Now the clock is ticking. The Buccaneers are sailing north to invade Cincinnati, and I am heading toward the nearest market with a shopping cart disguised as a treasure wagon. The mission is simple: seize the wings, capture the burgers, claim the snacks, secure the ice, and recover enough rum to keep the Krewe properly spirited through four quarters of Buccaneers football.
By Sunday afternoon, the flag will be flying, the feast will be ready, and the cannons will be aimed toward Paycor Stadium. The offseason is over. The voyage begins.
