2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 47th Season Brief
Our 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season is the franchise's 47th in the National Football League, the 24th season playing home games at Raymond James Stadium and first under new head coach Todd Bowles, and ninth season under General Manager Jason Licht.
The Buccaneers will battle to improve on the franchise-best 13–4 record from 2021, looking to anchor a playoff berth for a third consecutive season. The BUCS enter the 2022 season as defending NFC South champions. With another consecutive season win it will be another in franchise history.
It was falsely reported this would be Tom Brady's final season in the NFL and last of two seasons with the Buccaneers, Brady However, on March 13, publicly retracted the retirement announcement, and announced he would return in 2022. ironically Head coach Bruce Arians announced his retirement following the season and shifting into the franchise front office as a Senior Football Consultant.
2022 Draft Picks
The BUCS were on the clock with the No. 27 pick, but opted to make an in-state trade with the Jaguars, sliding back into the top spot of Day 2. The Buccaneers attacked the draft with eight picks. With at least one in each of the last six rounds, including a pair of seconds and a pair of fourths. The Buccaneers need this draft to be an instant success similar to the 2020 class, with a plotted course to win another Super Bowl.

- Round 7 - Pick # 27 - Selection 248: Andre Anthony, Linebacker, LSU
- Tampa Bay was draftiing for the future, nabbing replacements at tight end, left tackle, boundary corner, punter, running back, and interior defender. They could have gone for a more a high-impact draft class, but no need with a loaded roster starting out of port. The BUCS has All-Pro caliber players on both sides of the scrimage line, and a good opportunity of tossing the Lombardi in the BAY after Super Bowl LVII even if this draft class does not hit immediately. The Buccaneers underperformed on Day 2 of the draft, but canon-balls hit two solid targects on Day 3. They also drafted a punter, with two final picks.
2022 SEASON Gameday Notes
Week 1: WON 19-03 - Away vs. Dallas Cowboys
If someone had told me the two highest scoring teams of the 2021 season would be held to a few field goals and one TD I would tell you to walk the plank.. With only one missed Succop file goal Brady continued his career streak with no Dallas loss. Brady completed 18-of-27 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown and an interception. It was not a beautiful win, but it was a WIN.
Week 2: WON 20-10 - Away vs. New Orleans Saints
Buccaneers doom the Saints VooDoo with turnovers and mistakes as Saints QB Winston returned to his old BUCS style and Marshon Lattimore needs to register for anger management classes. The Tom Brady-led Buccaneers entered the game 0-4 in regular season against the Saints, and left the Superdome asserting ourselfs claiming the division lead with this road-win.
