The game was played in the not-so-great Sun Devil Stadium which was a loose gravelly disaster resulting in both team kickers missing three fieldgoals each blaming it on the dodgy surface conditions.

The game's only touchdown was the result of a Testaverde pass to Mark Carrier, whilst the Buccaneers defense contributed with interceptions including one by Milton Mack on the final play of the game to cap the win.
