Joe Montana playing in a Chiefs uniform threw three touchdown passes to lead Kansas City in defeating the Buccaneers in the 1993 season opener in Tampa Stadium.

The Buccaneers were held to 25 offensive yards on the ground and 157 overall and Steve DeBerg was benched for good for Craig Erickson by the second half.
