Buccaneers Game History

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Have Played 660 Games

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have played 660 regular season and 15 post-season games since their inception in 1976. After losing a league-record 26 consecutive games, the Buccaneers broke into the win column at New Orleans on December 11, 1977.

Two years later, Tampa Bay stunned the football world when it reached the 1979 NFC championship game in only its fourth season. The Buccaneers clinched the NFC Central title with a dramatic 3-0 win over Kansas City in a driving rainstorm and then defeated Philadelphia 24-17 in playoff action to advance to within one game of the Super Bowl. But in the NFC championship, the Los Angeles Rams prevailed with a hard-fought 9-0 victory and of-course we all remember the Super Bowl victory over the Raiders in 2002.

Here you will find links with extensive details of all gameday encounters. Starting with game #1 in the Houston Astrodome through to the season-ending clifhanger over the Panthers. We have featured details of each opponent, highlights of each games statistics, players, scoring details, media coverage, photographs with a detailed game report.
