Another tough loss in the Superdome. After Chandler sufferd a concussion Testaverde stepped in only to throw two interceptions and experience six Saints voodoo sacks. Prior leaving the game Chandler opened with a spectacular cart-wheeling TD run after an 80-yard 15-play drive to start the game.

After the Buccaneers touchdown it was an up-field battle, the Bucs gained just another 119 yards and watched the Saints score five unanswered touchdowns.

Under the pressure Gruber was called for a holding penalty, his first in 2,155 plays and 35 games.
